Nati nel 2010 dall’incontro di Stefano Amerigo Santoni, Francesco Chimenti e Davide Andreoni, I Sycamore Age sono un incantevole band italiana conosciuta in particolare per la loro fine ricerca nel sound. Ascoltando i Sycamore age non troverete confini, al contrario scoprirete melodie inesplorate dentro atmosfere uniche.
La band si è da subito gradualmente ampliata con membri e collaborazioni ognuna delle quali proveniente da differenti background musicali, dalla classica, al pop, all’elettronica. I 5 componenti attuali della band sono Francesco Chimenti, Franco Pratesi, Daniel Boeke, Stefano Amerigo Santoni e Luca Cherubini Celli. Questo singolare aspetto ha contribuito ad aumentare la particolarità del sound dei Sycamore Age dando vita ad un’armoniosa e coinvolgente realtà difficilmente racchiudibile all’interno di uno specifico genere.
I Sycamore Age rilasciano il il loro primo album nel 2012, con l’omonimo titolo “Sycamore Age”. L’album è stato distribuito in Italia e in Europa da Rough Trade e vengono subito invitati a suonare all’interno della Berlin music week.
A causa del suo impatto sul panorama indipendente, è stato prodotto un album di remix e reworks “Sycamore Age remixes&reworks” a cui hanno preso parte anche artisti del calibro degli Akron Family e di Teho Teardo.
Nel 2015 viene rilasciato il secondo album “Perfect Laughter” , in cui viene affrontato il tema del confronto tra uomo e divinità, un viaggio , attraverso miti e simboli, percorrendo il tempo e lo spazio.
E’ subito dopo il secondo album partono in tour per l’Europa, attraversando Francia , Belgio e Olanda, fino ad arrivare al Primavera sound 2018 di Barcellona.
I Sycamore Age hanno appena finito di registrare il loro terzo disco dal titolo “Castaways” che è uscito per Woodworm label-Universal l’11 Dicembre 2020.
Born in 2010 from the encounter of Stefano Amerigo Santoni, Francesco Chimenti and Davide Andreoni, Sycamore Age is an enchanting Italian band renowned especially for their continuous evolution in the research of sound. When listening to Sycamore age you will find that no boundaries are to be found but instead you discover unexplored music in unique atmospheres.
The band gradually enlarged with many other members and collaborations which each and every one of them derive from different musical backgrounds such as classical, pop and electronic. Now the band has 5 official members: Francesco Chimenti, Franco Pratesi, Daniel Boeke and, Stefano Amerigo Santoni, Luca Cherubini Celli. This unique aspect engraves and contributes the importance of the sound of Sycamore Age encapsulating a harmonious novelty rarely found in any musical platform.
Sycamore Age debuts their first successful album in 2012, self-titled ‘Sycamore Age’. The album was distributed in Italy and Europe by the acclaimed record label company Rough Trade.
Due to the great impact the album had, a remix was issued entitled ‘Sycamore Age remix/reworks’ where notorious Akron Family and Teho Teardo took part in the collaboration and creation of it and because of this success the band managed to perform in many festivals such as Primavera Sound Festival and Popkomm Berlin.
Years later a second album was released called ‘Perfect laughter’. This album faces the issue between man and divinity, a voyage which takes you among myths and symbols, throughout time and space.
At present they have recorded their third studio album, released on the December 11th.
